Consignor Agreement Terms & Conditions

Redwood Consignment is grateful for your partnership as we strive to make life outside more accessible, affordable, and sustainable for all!

Terms as of Jan 25, 2026

1. Redwood Consignment accepts, sorts, prices and sells your items. Our pricing is based on expert industry knowledge, seasonal demand, condition, age of item, and MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price).
   
   
2. At consignment drop off, we can sort items on the spot and return any items we cannot consign. Your items will then be entered into your account as quickly as possible.
   
   
3. Consignors agree to not advertise to sell your items online/offline while they are being sold at Redwood Consignment.
   
   
4. Consignors are responsible to notify Redwood Consignment in the event of changed account information, and for bringing in clean, modern, undamaged, and working items. We cannot accept dirty, old, or damaged items or gear outside of our market (at our discretion).
   
   
5. We do our utmost to protect your items. However, in the event of damage or loss due to fire, theft, water, vandalism, or negligent handling by customers, our liability is limited to the most recent pricing minus Redwood Consignment commission, AKA – the same you would receive if the item had sold.
   
   
6. We consign items for a minimum of 60 days, and after 60 days we reserve the right to reduce items that have not yet sold. Items will be donated to a local Thrift Store if they do not sell by the end of their season. We conduct sales periodically and reserve the right to mark down and/or donate accordingly.
   
   
7. At the end of each season, we conduct an end of season sale. This sale is announced to our mailing list and on our social media.
   
   
8. New accounts require a one-time $5 set-up fee. This fee goes to administration & account management and will be charged  as a 'product' at the time you consign your first item. 
   
   
9. Redwood Consignment reserves the right to store off-season inventory for the consignors, aims to sell in-season.
   
   
10. Redwood Consignment reserves the right to update policies at any time. Items consigned under previous policies shall remain unchanged.
    
    
11. Consignors must be subscribed to our email list to receive updates about consignment (such as sales).
    
    
12. It is the consignors’ responsibility to check the status of your items in your account.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES - Please review

1. All items are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
   
   
2. To consign your items with Redwood - a consignment agreement must be signed & submitted. The consignment agreement only needs to be signed once - once you're signed up - welcome to the partnership!
   
   
3. An employee will look through your items when you drop them off and give you back any that we cannot accept.
   
   
4. This process usually takes approx. 15 minutes. If you do not wish to stay while we look through your items, you may leave them all and any items we cannot accept will be donated to a local not-for-profit organization! 
   
   
5. We do not accept items using outdated technology and/or styles – the age of acceptance will vary from item to item.
   
   
6. We cannot accept any helmets unless they are new with tags and modern.
   
   
7. We do not accept white jackets or pants and we are highly selective with other white/very light colour clothing.
   
   
8. We do not accept items with outdated patterns.
   
   
9. We do not accept items from non-outdoor brands or items that do not have a brand - this includes items that are missing logos and tags and therefore no longer have an identifiable brand.
   
   
10. All items must be clean, modern, and in working condition. Items that are dirty, old, and need repair will not be accepted.
    
    
11. We only accept up to 12 clothing items per drop per consignor, but unlimited gear items. (If you are from out of town and would like to make arrangements to drop more than 12 clothing items at one time, please contact us ahead of arrival.

IF AN EMPLOYEE CHOOSES NOT TO ACCEPT YOUR ITEM(S), PLEASE BE KIND AND RESPECT THEIR DECISION. DISRESPECT AND/OR ABUSE OF EMPLOYEES WILL RESULT IN ALL OF YOUR ITEMS BEING RETURNED AND THE TERMINATION OF OUR CONSIGNMENT PARTNER
